I can see your point.<br>

I also find it interesting that functionality can be hidden in GUI,
you don't always "see" what is going on. If you go to the "one-page
summary",
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://www.tahoe-lafs.org/trac/tahoe-lafs/browser/git/docs/about.rst">https://www.tahoe-lafs.org/trac/tahoe-lafs/browser/git/docs/about.rst</a>,
the very first heading states " <br>
<div class="section" id="welcome-to-tahoe-lafs">
<p>Welcome to Tahoe-LAFS!</p>
<p>Welcome to <a class="reference external"
href="https://tahoe-lafs.org">Tahoe-LAFS</a>, the first
decentralized storage system with
<em>provider-independent security</em>.</p>
</div>
Hiding the app in a GUI makes it less secure for me. I can't see
what it's doing. <br>

I agree, it's not the easiest of tools to implement. I have not
tried because of perceived difficulty either. And also partly
because I have not spent the time to learn it better or research
more but that is my issue.<br>

This isn't something that is generally headed to anything outside of a
Dev Ops model for quite some time. (IMHO)

Agree with your point but then those that don't like command tools
shouldn't use the software, their choice.<br>

Hmm, sorry, how can anyone claim to be an "expert" reviewer if you don't
know how to do command line?
GUI isn't the answer for everything. Just because you don't know how to do
command line functions doesn't make command line bad.

That looks like a pretty old version of Tahoe. It doesn't even have the

Folks:
You might be interested in this video in which Gus The Usability
Hacker added annotations on top of Taylor's instructional video about
how to use Tahoe-LAFS:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://gandre.ws/blog/blog/2015/04/07/why-the-command-line-is-not-usable/">http://gandre.ws/blog/blog/2015/04/07/why-the-command-line-is-not-usable/</a>
Please don't angrily lash out at Gus about this! We asked her to help
by telling us her opinion of Tahoe's usability. I hope that we'll get
into a virtuous feedback loop with her in which we make more changes
to Tahoe (hopefully for the better!) and she gives us more ideas about
usability design issues. You folks being polite and encouraging to her
would probably help.
The bit about Lovecraftian horror is pretty funny.
