 So those tickets are all variations on the same theme, and that theme is
 multi version installs are terrible and setuptools does them by default.
 That's why pip disabled them. You could probably override setup.py
 build|install|egg_info|develop etc to use pip instead of easy_install, or
 just tell everyone to use pip ;)
