I've seen that -- it is by Phil Karn.  I don't remember why I didn't  
use it.

Hm -- too bad it doesn't compile out of the box on my Mac OS X Intel  
laptop.  Next time I'm using another kind of system I'll try again.


As to embedded Python, I did a bit of searching around and found
