[tahoe-dev] SMDF main coding done

Two weeks of *very* intense coding later, the bulk of the code for
the new mutable files is complete. There are a lot of integration issues
left to work out, so I doubt we'll have a release this week, but I think
we're on track to ship this stuff out early next week.
