That's a good point.

It is very simple to separate these functions internally -- they are  
already different objects:

storageserver:

and client:
http://allmydata.org/trac/tahoe/browser/docs/codemap.txt#L18

It would be great if someone would make a configuration option to  
control whether or not your Tahoe node instantiates a storage server  
object.
