[tahoe-dev] Bay Area Hack Party at Allmydata HQ, Oct 26?

Folks:

I'm flying to San Francisco next week to visit Allmydata HQ.

We're thinking of organizing a Sprint, or a Hack Party at Allmydata
HQ in Potrero Hill Friday evening (the 26th) after work hours (after
5 o'clock).

We can probably get allmydata.com to buy us all pizza and pop. Maybe
beer, who knows.

We're thinking of inviting all the Twisted hackers we can find in the
San Francisco Bay Area and working on issues from the Twisted trac
[1]. On the other hand, a lot of the major contributors to Twisted
live on the East Coast, so perhaps we should pick a different focus.
We could do something like a Python bugfixing party and see how many
patches we can submit to fix issues from the Python tracker [2].
Maybe we can try to lure some of the Google Pythoners up to the City.

So the next steps are:

1. If you are reading this, and you want to demonstrate some cool
hack to a group of your peers, share some source code with us, or
contribute to some Free Software project or other, and you want to do
it in a social group next Friday evening, then let us know ASAP.

2. I'll ask Peter how much of what kind of food and beverage the
company will spring for. ;-)

3. I'm going to invite some other social group. I know! We'll call
it a Bay Area P2P Hackers Physical Meeting and invite anyone who
wants to demo and hack on p2p code.

Regards,

Zooko
