 Ok, here an amended version of all the previous patches.

 It would be great if people could give it a try under Windows and MacOS X
 and publish their experiences here.

 It currently only handle to simple case where filename encoding is
 coherent with what's detected by Python (sys.getfilesystemencoding()).
