 Update: since the fix mentioned in #738 (disabling crypto++ assembly
 optimizations) was implemented in my local copy here, python2.5 setup.py
 test NOW COMPLETES THROUGH THE SPOT WHERE IT FROZE BEFORE!!

 So this specific issue I think, if those other ones can be closed, can be
 closed also once we verify that the same fix might work for bdew.
