 Yes, it's the same scheme as in your paper. I must have been
 misremembering that diagram.. somehow I thought there was still an
 encrypted private key in there somewhere.

 It's a shame that "diminishing"/"diminishment"/("dimunition"?) isn't as
 easy to say as "attenuation" :). I'll have to read shap's thesis.. I
 haven't heard "diminishing" from anybody else, whereas I hear
 "attenuation" all the time. But I'll try to follow your lead.

 I guess I'll wait for the rest of your response before trying to follow
 up.
