 Storage indexes are used in the WUI for distinguishing directories from
 each other. I propose that identicons
 <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Identicon> be used for creating unique
 somewhat-memorable icons for directories (perhaps as a symbol on the
 surface of a folder icon).

 Furthermore, if #1177 is done then these icons should be used as icons for
 directories in directory listings.
