Cool! What university are you at?

This is probably fixed as of http://allmydata.org/pipermail/tahoe-dev/
2010-February/003770.html thanks to Kai's contribution of a binary
egg for Windows for Python 2.6. It should *already* have been fixed
if you were using Python 2.5, so I guess you were using Python 2.6 at
that time. Am I right? Anyway, I would appreciate if someone could
confirm that you can install Tahoe-LAFS on Windows with Python 2.5 or
Python 2.6 now and you don't have to manually install pycryptopp.

True, but prominently documented in install.html . (If some Python
packaging wizard wants to help, it is ticket #142.)

This was needed only because you had to build pycryptopp manually, I
believe.

Could you tell me what errors you got with Python 2.6? Maybe it was
that pycryptopp wasn't automatically installed from a binary egg on
Python 2.6 but it was on Python 2.5 (as mentioned above).

Very cool! Please share your scripts that do that!

You opened a ticket, #933, and I replied on January 30, and since
then it is your turn. It appears to me that your network
(specifically your domain name server) or the googlecode.com website
was having trouble the last time you tried.
