 Looking at where {{{get_storage_index}}}, it seems that several other
 operations on empty immutable directories that are small enough to fit in
 a LIT file are likely to fail. Viewing them in the WUI certainly provokes
 the same error:

 We should probably put out a point release (although there's time to fix
 other stuff and perhaps include #778.)
