Just for the heck of it I wondered what happend if you do mangle the
URL. (Mostly because when I copied it out of my mailer, a bunch of
spaces got inserted into the URL). Seemingly these will cause Tahoe
to spit out some truly ugly exception backtraces:

Frankly I would have expected much nicer behavior here. Most
base[32|64] implementations I've seen will ignore whitespace.
