Oh and I forgot the fourth beneficial effect: it means downloads  
start quicker. This is what we call "alacrity" -- the time between  
clicking on something and the first few bytes of it arriving in your  
input stream. I care about alacrity because I often stream music and  
movies from Tahoe-LAFS grids.
