 attachment:393status13.dpatch cleans up the uploader. It is now fairly
 free of special-case logic (that is, SDMF versus MDMF), and is easier to
 read and shorter as a result. There are still a couple of test failures in
 checking, though.

 (393status12.dpatch got skipped because it was a bunch of very minor
 changes)
