So how well is the new volunteer-based public grid doing?
Let's see, it shows 6 servers connected at the moment. Which is not
bad, actually, if they have good reliability and performance!
I wish the introducer welcome page would tell me how much capacity
they each have available (#648).
Well, I guess I'll upload some files to it and see how it works!
…
Well, it works!
The download speed through my local gateway running on my own laptop
looked like this:

* File Size: 768229 bytes
* Total: 5.13s (149.8kBps)
o Peer Selection: 118ms
o UEB Fetch: 322ms
o Hashtree Fetch: 110ms
o Segment Fetch: 4.57s (167.9kBps)
+ Cumulative Fetching: 4.54s (169.1kBps)
+ Cumulative Decoding: 315us (2433.68MBps)

Here is the file in question. It is an old copy of my blog. I'm
looking for a more recent copy of my blog… :-)
