Hopefully Faruq will speak up and let you know where to get his source code.

If you do end up installing darcs then you don't also need any other
friends. If I recall correctly you use Gentoo:

http://packages.gentoo.org/package/dev-vcs/darcs

(By the way, what I really want to see is
http://packages.gentoo.org/package/dev-db/tahoe-lafs ...)
