Comment:

 Okay! There is now a buildstep named {{{test-with-fake-pkg}}} which tests
 this behavior, and all buildslaves which are able to run that buildstep
 (it requires {{{mock}}}) show that the current code in [source:ticket1190
 the ticket1190 branch] passes. The next step is to ask Brian if he will
 not object to merging this to trunk, and then possibly rebasing it for
 trunk, or else just applying all 18 patches from ticket1190 to trunk.
