I may not be a typical user, but I currently run three gateways on my
laptop and many storage servers on an Amazon EC2 instance (Ubuntu).

The three gateways on my laptop are for the test grid [1], the
volunteer grid, and a private grid operated solely by my wife and me.

One of the storage servers that I run on my EC2 instance is for the
volunteer grid, then there are nine others for the private
owhielagrid.
