 Hm. What's the status of this ticket? It is assigned to Brian. Is Brian
 intending to do anything with it? Did we achieve consensus on what should
 be done? Do we all agree with what Brian wrote in comment:4 plus the
 various follow-ups? I no longer remember. Maybe someone should write up a
 new summary of what we intend to do. Brian: if you don't intend to write
 up a new summary (or otherwise move this ticket forward) then please
 assign it to me.
