Thanks for your replies Daira and Zooko.  Daira, I did run create-client, but the .tahoe directory wasn't created.  I'm going to start over, and document each step so that if I run into trouble again I'll be able to give you better info.  Thanks again,

Did you create a client using "bin\tahoe.pyscript create-client", and then
edit C:\Users\mnation\.tahoe\tahoe.cfg to point to the testgrid introducer?
