I reviewed this ticket and thought about it too.
It doesn't seem appropriate for what I had in mind...
and there may be problem/solution conflation.

This ticket was very interesting to read.
I will have to investigate this further.
It seems smart to have the backup scheduler in the Tahoe node.
I was initially thinking it would be a separate daemon process...
but this is unnecessary.

Ah ha. Yes. OK I will be limiting the scope of my efforts to solving
the Tails-specific section of this Tahoe configuration assistant.
