Oops, sorry, I meant that I used a signed git tag (try "git tag -v
tahoe-lafs-1.12.0b1" to verify it). I did not produce a .asc detached
signature on the tarballs, but I'll definitely do that for the final
release (for which both .tar.gz and .tar.gz.asc will be in /releases as
well as /tarballs).

Awesome, thanks. Could you take a look at #2831 and see if the previous
Slackware package suffers from the same problem as the previous Debian
package? If it used Foolscap-0.7.0 or later, then we're all good. If it
used Foolscap-0.6.5, then we might want to expand the NEWS item to
mention Slackware too.

(same goes for any other packagers.. anyone on Fedora reading this?)
