How is content versioned in Tahoe?

Hi,

I am new, so I hope this is the correct channel of communication to ask
questions. If not, could you please direct me to the right place?

My [ thumb just slipped on the Enter ] question is: What is the data model
used by Tahoe and wow does it managed data updates for immutable and
mutable data?
Lots of similar systems use a git-like data model (with commits, trees,
blobs), but I am not sure what Tahoe does.
