 Sigh, so it sounds like the new rule is that we aren't allowed to use
 {{{reactor.spawnProcess}}} or related functions in tahoe; instead we must
 use {{{reactor.deferToThread}}} and a blocking {{{subprocess}}} call,
 because of windows. Oh well.
