 Okay, having re-read this ticket, it sounds like the way forward is for
 someone to figure out how to use {{{twistd}}} as an importable library
 instead of as a command that gets executed and then loads our code. See
 comment:11, comment:12, comment:13, comment:17. Is that the next step?
