 have a {{{replace=}}} option, unlike [source:git/docs/frontends/webapi.rst
 #attaching-an-existing-file-or-directory-by-its-read-or-write-cap].
 {{{replace=false}}} would be useful for efficiently implementing #1894
 without race conditions.
