 With grid-updates (http://darrob.i2p.to/grid-updates/) we offer users
 patches to display an HTML file (used for news) in an IFrame on the
 Welcome page.

 davidsarah asked me to attach those patches to this ticket. I hope this is
 what you had in mind.
