 News flash! joepie91 from IRC reported a bug which looks exactly like this
 one. However, he is using Tahoe-LAFS v1.9.2, with the patch from #1669
 ([changeset:5524/1.9.2]) in place! This means that, contrary to what I
 thought, that patch did not fix this issue — #1670.
