     Reporter:  nejucomo  |      Owner:  nobody
         Type:  defect    |     Status:  new
     Priority:  major     |  Milestone:  undecided
    Component:  unknown   |    Version:  1.9.0
   Resolution:            |   Keywords:  packaging pypi
Launchpad Bug:            |

Comment (by nejucomo):

 Note that the title of this ticket is misleading. This has nothing to do
 with `pip`. I added the `pypi` keyword, but this also is not specific to
 Tahoe-LAFS's [https://pypi.python.org/pypi/allmydata-tahoe/1.10.0 PyPI
 page].

 I just verified that if I download the [https://pypi.python.org/pypi
 /allmydata-tahoe/1.10.0 pypi tarball] or the [https://tahoe-
 lafs.org/source/tahoe-lafs/releases/allmydata-tahoe-1.10.0.zip self-hosted
 zip file], and then run:

 {{{
 $ python ./setup.py build
 $ python ./setup.py install
 }}}

 -there are no doc files installed outside of the tarball/zipfile contents.
