 Oh. Well then why does the timeline fail to render correctly with the
 `d3.min.js` from [https://github.com/mbostock/d3/blob/v3.3.13/d3.min.js
 here]? (It renders just as a bunch of overlapping text in the top-left
 corner of the view.)
