 Thank you for the bug report. I have to admit I'm surprised and
 temporarily stumped by yet *another* previously-unseen exception emitting
 from setuptools. Could you please execute the
 [source:trunk/misc/build_helpers/show-tool-versions.py] script and paste
 the output of it into here? Maybe that'll give us a clue.
