 I'm just putting this here as a possible alternative to `six`: [http
 ://python-future.org]. It might be too complicated. (Also, `pyOpenSSL`
 depends on `cryptography` which depends on `six`, and we don't really want
 to have a dependency on two different Python-2/3-compatibility libraries
 if we can help it.)
