 That post includes workarounds for all of the issues described; it also
 says that the cryptography project has now already worked around all the
 issues described therein.  Given that Tahoe doesn't make use of cffi
 directly, it's not clear to me why those particular issues would prevent
 it from being used indirectly in the project that all the workarounds come
 from.

 That said, certainly the requirement to install `libffi` is still there.
