 We could replace `allmydata.util.time_format.format_{time,delta}` and
 `allmydata.util.abbreviate` with https://pypi.python.org/pypi/humanize

 I think its strings are more human-friendly than ours. It's pure python,
 it appears to have reasonable tests, and it is already packaged in Debian,
 so it seems like a painless-enough dependency to add.
