 fixed! I tested it with an onion grid and it works great; i think cherry-
 picked the commits onto my original dev branch so that it's not mixed up
 with the Tor integration changes:

 This code needs review! I don't understand the different between a
 serverid and a tubid. I think we might need some code cleanup but I don't
 yet know all the details... but if you look... the serverid can either be
 derived from the key or from the tubid.
