Comment (by warner):

 Only if the machine has a publically-reachable IPv6 address. I suspect
 most home computers that have v6 addresses will still be blocked by a
 firewall of some sort. So unfortunately, no, I don't think enabling IPv6
 will significantly help with the NAT barrier.
