 In anticipation of having more kinds of storage announcements, the storage
 client should change to be less freaked out when it encounters an
 announcement that's not in exactly the one shape it understands.

 In a plugin-enabled future, we expect there to be much more diversity in
 the storage access protocol.  It will become more common for clients to
 encounter announcements they can't understand (and don't care about -
 because they're not in line with the user's preferences).  These should
 not cause scary looking errors in any logs.
