 The mypy `--strict` flag is a group of options and works by enabling a
 number of more fine-grained flags.  `mypy --help` will show the concrete
 flags of the mypy version in use.

 This enables us to make the type checks "more strict" gradually.

 Find out what mypy "strict" checks our source code currently already
 passes and add them to the mypy configuration to prevent regressions in
 the future.
