 This will be fixed in next Twisted release:
 https://github.com/twisted/twisted/issues/12084

 Options:

 1. For PyPy 7.3.15 and later, set Twisted 24.x as minimal supported
 version (see https://peps.python.org/pep-0508/ for syntax).
 2. Monkeypatch older versions of Twisted with the fix, it's a couple of
 lines of code.
