[volunteergrid2-l] Help me spec a "zombie node"

I have already removed one remote node from VG2 because it seemed to be
more trouble to maintain than it was worth, so I have some experience
attempting this:

I will soon have an opportunity to have access to a fiber line at a remote
location (90 miles). The bandwidth should be well within the expressed
expectations of VG2 members and the power should be stable enough, with the
addition of a small UPS to meet uptime requirements.

Here are my draft requirements for the remote node:
 - It will run Linux
 - headless
 - low power

Preferences:
 - low profile
 - fanless
 - inexpensive

My first attempt at the remote node was using a System76 Meerkat Ion node.
This system ended up not being suitable for 24/7, always-on operation, and
was thus removed from the grid.

I am open to suggestions.

Thanks,
jody
