[volunteergrid2-l] Node keeps crashing

Hello everyone

My server seems to have hardware issues and keeps crashing about once a
day. I have not had the chance to further investigate the issue and just
let my wife power cycle the machine which brought the machine up again.

I already have replacement hadrware ready since a few months (I've built
my sever around 2003 and it has since than run almost 24/7... only the
power supply and the fans have been replaced in the last two years and a
1TB drive was added) but have not found the time to install it.

So it seems my trusty dpuppy has reached the end of its life finally. I
don't think that the will be any data loss, but the reliability of the
system is impaired uptime-wise.

Should I set my node to read only for the time until I can replace it?

I'll try my best to keep the node uptime as high as possible. But my
magic dust is used up so I'll have to resort to prayers.

I hope to be able to upgrade the system this week, so the impact should
not be too big. I'm really sorry that I fail to meed the uptime
requirements.

best regards

Marco
