[volunteergrid2-l] Anyone want cheap 500GB or 750GB drives?

I may have an opportunity to purchase used Google data center drives for a
pretty good price ($18 for 500 GB or $26 for 750 GB, plus shipping).
Actually, that's not quite right... I *do* have the opportunity to
purchase used drives. What I'm not certain of is if I can buy them and
then sell them to others. There's a "no re-sale" policy, but I suspect
that's to stop Google employees from starting a hard drive business on the
side. I've got a question in to see if they'd allow me to resell them to
friends at my cost.

Anyway, assuming the answer is yes, would anyone be interested?

The currently-available batch are 7200 RPM Hitachi Ultrastars, 3 Gbps SATA
interface. They've been thoroughly wiped and tested, and come with a
30-day replacement warranty. Shipping cost depends on number and
destination, of course. For example, shipping one drive to Colorado is
$8.22, and shipping 10 drives is $14.85. I believe I can probably have
them shipped directly to the purchaser, rather than being sent to me and
then re-shipping.
