Unfortunately changing my client encoding to 3-of-10 does not seem to 
help.  I'm having problems uploading again.

I wonder if my problems are related to the number of files in the grid. 
  In particular, I have one directory that has 4700+ files in it. 
Everything was going great for days.  I was able to upload several 
thousand files with no problems, but now the uploads are struggling again.

Have others been able to upload a large number of files?
