Hello all,

I right now live in Geneve (switzerland). During the day I work at CERN as C++
programmer, over the night I hack on some projects[0].

I'm interested on joining the volunteergrid. I've played a bit with tahoe,
setting up some nodes and testing it, but I never participated on a stable tahoe
grid. I'm interested on getting experience in reliable tahoe installations and
use the volunteergrid for personal backup.

I do agree on the policies and I hope to be able to meet the requirements to be
part of the grid. My idea is to set up a node at my home, I have a optic fiver
with 100Mb/s of bandwith, a home server (an old dual core laptop) and 1TB for
storage. Is it ok if I set it up on my home server? Or am I expected to do it on
a proper server?

Cheers.
