There may, however, be situations or use-cases in which users may want to bypass this behavior and/or (more likely) ignore additional files matching other patterns that are not included in these lists.

Accordingly, it could be useful to make ignore patterns user-configurable (perhaps via a mechanism similar to `tahoe backup`s `--exclude-from` functionality, whereby ignore patterns can be specified in a file).
