The high level goal is to avoid a ""flag day"" release that switches off 2 and on 3; rather, we are building a single code base that runs on both versions of Python. It would be helpful to get feedback from real world Python 2 users as we go. In other words, the release note would look like ""Increased Python 3 support, no other changes, please test"".
