It is a bug!

This is the first I have heard of it. It is reminiscent of #1045.
Could you please find out if the leak behavior changes when you use
SFTP or the "tahoe cp" command-line instead of FTP?

It might also help if you could write a script that invokes "smem"
every 10 seconds like François did to produce the graphs in the #1045
