Type: defect | Milestone: undecided
Priority: normal | Version: 1.9.2
Component: code- | Keywords: introduction usability connectivity

Resolution: |
Launchpad Bug: |

Comment (by calltodsi):
My Current Setup:
3 Nodes are created(using tahoe create-node) and all are enabled for
storage server(storage=true in tahoe.cfg file). - Fedora
1 Node is created for Introducer and also created & enabled for storage
server (so in the same machine introducer and storgae server are enabled)
- Ubuntu
So totally 4 machines.
1. At the Introducer node(again FYI: this node also created for storage
server), i can see all the 4 storage nodes are connected ("Connected to 4
of 4 known storage servers:).
- When i try to upload(mutuable) a file, shares are created and
distributed to all of the four nodes successfully. I also checked at
"home/user/.tahoe/storage/shares" location of all the four machines.
2. But, in other three nodes, i cannot upload any file and distribute the
shares. Becaze, all the three machines are connected to only with
"introducer cum storage node"
-It is saying that "Connected to 2 of 4 known storage servers". That is,
loopback and introducer cum storage node.
Here, I could not receover the issues, is there any configuration missed
or any problem with the package version(v1.9.2)?
Architecture: I am referring a document from https://tahoe-
lafs.org/trac/chrome/tahoe-RSA-slides.pdf, slide 22. To bring an Tahoe-
LAFS environment by referring this page(slide 22) alone.
Your Question: Could there be a firewall or other connectivity issue
preventing the machines from connecting to each other? What operating
system are you using?
Yes. There is a connectivity issue as i explained above. i think there is
no firewall issue.
Please help us to resolve the issue.
thanks & regards,
Dr.Narendiran.

> So you're using Storage Server 1 also as the client? In that case, only
the connection report from that node is directly relevant. It is probably
only connected to itself, via loopback.
