 > netifaces needs a new maintainer. al45tair is no longer able to maintain
 it or make new releases due to work commitments.

 Tahoe-LAFS depends on netifaces to discover local addresses for automatic
 address assignment at node creation time, under certain usages.

 The lack of new netifaces packages will gradually become more painful.
 Already there are no Python 3.10 binary packages on PyPI.  As a result,
 installing netifaces (and therefore Tahoe-LAFS) on Python 3.10 requires a
 C compiler.
